Peter Sheppard Skaerved, Leader-Kreutzer Quartet, Research Fellow-Royal Academy of Music London, Visiting Professor-Vanderbilt University, Nashville Tennessee.

Jessica is an extraordinarily gifted young player. I have had the opportunity to work with her professionally on a number of occasions, and she immediately demonstrated that she is a musician well able to hold her own at the highest level. She is blessed with a rich tonal reserve, innate musical understanding, and great communicative gifts.

Josephine Knight, Professor of ’cello, RAM

Jessica is an extremely talented ’cellist who has shown incredible determination in her approach to the ’cello. Whilst  at the Royal Academy she has gained both technical and musical assurity…Jessica is immensely versatile, she has played principal ’cello with all the Royal Academy`s orchestras and this year she won a place as a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra.

David Strange, Head of Strings, RAM

Jessica is an outstanding young cellist…she is extremely strong in all fields of playing – her chamber music work is superb and as an orchestral principal she has the rare ability of making the section work as one under her leadership.  Her solo playing is expansive and tonally excellent and I have no doubt at the end of her studies she will create a fine performing career.

Neil Heyde

Jessica is an exceptionally talented musician who has a very promising career in front of her. She is musically and technically ready for performance at the highest level of the profession. As part of our recent London concert series it was a delight to invite Jessica to perform the Mendelssohn Octet with us. Her affinity for chamber music and her exceptional listening skills have been clearly evident in performances she has given at the Academy, but it was good to hear her and work with her outside a student context and she made a most impressive contribution to the concert.
